If you are a noncitizen in need of help, there are many resources in Massachusetts to assist you. There are immigrant service agencies that offer refugee resettlement, English classes, legal help, and other services for non citizens. There are also government and non-profit assistance programs to help you with housing, food, health care, and other needs. The Massachusetts Refugee Resettlement Program helps newly arrived refugees find jobs, learn English, and adjust to their new lives in the U.S.

Massachusetts Office of Refugees and Immigrants (MORI)
Under the jurisdiction of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, the Massachusetts Office for Refugee and Immigrants is a federally-funded program established to assist refugees in adjusting to life in America. It supports programs for refugees and immigrants, acts as their public advocate, coordinates state and federal services on their behalf, and works to make mainstream programs linguistically and culturally accessible. MORI runs a statewide information and referral program, a volunteer-based citizen education project, and provides self-help groups with technical assistance, grant information, and funding. The agency conducts outreach to ethnic communities and manages an education campaign on job discrimination based on national origin or citizenship status. Individuals should contact the office for referral to appropriate programs and service providers.

Massachusetts Refugee Resettlement Program (MRRP)
MRRP is a program to help refugees become self-sufficient. The program's main goal is to help refugees get jobs and learn English, so they can support themselves as soon as possible. The Massachusetts Office of Refugees and Immigrants (MORI) is the state agency in charge of this program.
To be eligible for the Massachusetts Refugee Resettlement Program, you must be a refugee, asylee, Amerasian, or Cuban / Haitian entrant; a resident of Massachusetts; and you must meet the time-limit requirements. There are also income limits for Refugee Cash and Medical Assistance.
