Organization: Independence Associates is a community-based, consumer-controlled nonprofit organization that provides a comprehensive program of direct care, advocacy and community services intended either to empower individual consumers of I. A. with services to achieve their own goals or to eliminate discrimination and other barriers to independent living.

Eligibility/Criteria/Enrollment: Any person who has or identifies themselves as having a disability is eligible for services. For Personal Care Attendant Services, the consumer must have MassHealth and meet MassHealth's eligibility requirements. Anyone can call for I & R services.
Fees: Direct services are provided free of charge to persons with disabilities. PCA services are paid by an individual's MassHealth Plan when eligible.
