A Free Family/Guardian Training in Concord

**A Free Family/Guardian Training** Topic: Putting It All Together: A Team to Carry On™ Planning for the future of an individual with special needs requires marshaling financial resources, but even more importantly, arranging for the human resources to carry on in the role of the parents. While no one person can duplicate what a parent does, you can create a Team to Carry On.  Having this team in place provides the checks and balances that protect against any conflict of interest. A Team to Carry On™ covers the considerations beyond the wills and trusts: the details of living. This workshop outlines how to build a team of friends and family, financial, legal, medical and social services to continue to care for your child or sibling when you are no longer able.   A brief description and updates regarding ABLE accounts will also be provided. Alexandria Nadworny brings her experience as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional, and her empathy and knowledge as a sibling and future guardian of her brother James, to advising families of individuals with special needs. She has become a sought-after speaker on the topic of building a Team to Carry On™, encouraging and guiding families to plan for their loved one’s future. Alex is the president of the Massachusetts Guardianship Association and a member of a local DDS Citizens Advisory Board. In 2013, she joined her father, John, at Shepherd Financial Partners and is a key member of the Special Needs Financial Planning team, working with client families to educate and guide the next generation of family members. Date: Wednesday, February 15, 2017 (Snow Date Thursday, March 2) Time: 6:45-8:45 P.M.
