Dr. Plakun is Associate Medical Director and Director of Biopsychosocial Advocacy at Austen Riggs and a former Harvard clinical faculty member. In 2003 he was named by the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society as the Outstanding Psychiatrist in Clinical Psychiatry. He is a member of the APA assembly, chair of the APA Assembly Committee of Representatives of Subspecialities and Sections and a member of the APA Assembly Executive Committee.
