Anorexia Nervosa and Eating Disorders
Anorexia Nervosa is an eating disorder identified by a preoccupation for thinness, sought through self-starvation, to the point where one’s health is put in danger. The individual has an intense fear of gaining weight, a distorted body image and weighs less than the 85% of expected normal weight.

Founded with the generous support of the Klarman Family Foundation, the McLean’s Hospital Klarman Eating Disorders Center (KEDC) provides state of the art treatment for young women ages 16 to 26.
