Narrative

Cynthia has over 20 years of experience in special needs financial planning and a lifetime of experience as a sibling of an adult brother with developmental disabilities. She is co-author of The Special Needs Planning Guide, now in its second edition from Brookes Publishing Co.

As a member of the advisory team at Affinia Financial Group, Cynthia focuses on developing and coordinating financial matters to help create independence and security for the lifetime needs of both the parents and the individual with disabilities. She has extensive knowledge of state-wide programs and federal benefits, funding strategies for special needs trusts, asset management, legal settlements, insurance protection and residential options.  Affinia offers pro-bono workshops on topics of future planning, sibling issues, divorce and residential planning.
