Narrative

Mary Ann McArdle, M.A. has worked alongside more than 150 adults with developmental disabilities for several years at day habilitation programs and human service organizations in Lawrence and North Reading, Massachusetts. She has been working remotely during the Covid-19 pandemic with some of these same groups as well as with individual clients. Ms. McArdle has also worked with the Alternative Correctional Center in Lawrence, MA as an art therapist/ teacher and has conducted various public workshops at the Essex Art Center in Lawrence focusing on art as a vehicle for growth. She has delivered art therapy programs to substance abuse treatment centers and nursing homes and has an extensive background as an art educator at a private elementary school. Ms McArdle also serves as an Access Program Guide at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, offering tours to people with various disabilties. She is available to work at your setting,customizing art workshops for your needs whether they be a one time offering or something on a periodic basis.
