Narrative
I am an Independently Licensed Educational Psychologist in Massachusetts, Vermont, and Connecticut. I have experience working in hospital settings, outpatient clinics, and schools with children and adults from diverse backgrounds. I am able to provide Psycho-Educational (IQ-academics) as well as social/emotional evaluations, and self knowledge assistance. My specialties include Early Childhood (EI), Dyslexia, Dysgraphia (writing), Dyscalculia (math), Adaptive Behavioral, Autism (training from Yale), neurodiverse, medically complicated, trauma, and working with LGBTQ+ youth. I am especially adept (so people tell me) with complicated kids.
In terms of methodology, I prefer to work with children I am evaluating over a series of 2-3-4 sessions. I like to get to know who they are and what needs to be accomplished to help them grow, feel, and be successful. I also look at the evaluation as an investigative process. I believe tests are tools and you need to use the right tools to identify the right areas. It is a process of gathering both diagnostic and anecdotal information that helps to form a picture of the whole child. I am happy to connect during and after the evaluation process (pending signed release of information) with anyone who would like to be involved. I also like to meet when the evaluation is completed to discuss my findings and next steps together (in Person/Zoom). I also perform interpretive/intuitive analysis of the results from a wholistic perspective with guidance.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions and I will do my best for you!
