Narrative

I am an independent IEP consultant and special education advocate with over 15 years of experience supporting students with disabilities in public and private schools throughout the Greater Boston area.

I focus in working with families and students ages 12–22, with specialized interest on two critical transition points: middle school to high school, and high school to post-secondary life. Supports students with all forms of disbiliaites, including (but not limited to): learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, neurodiversity, medical complexities, and physical or sensory challenges.

I specialize in ensuring IEP and 504 plans are thoughtfully integrated and recalibrated throughout a student's educational pathway — so that supports, accommodations, and goals reflect the student's evolving needs and future aspirations, not just their current placement. My passion is ensuring that a student's whole life (social, community, career, etc) is embedded into the IEP, not just the specifically academic needs.

Additional areas of specialty include: (1) creative, outside-the-box vocational and community opportunity planning for students with more complex needs who are not on a college track; and (2) post-secondary education planning for students with disabilities preparing for college life, including review of college support plans, accommodations, social-emotional needs, and housing considerations.

Services include independent third-party IEP and 504 review, pre- and post-meeting consultation, evaluation review, transition pathway development, adult state services guidance (DDS), and self-advocacy coaching for students and families.

Affiliated with Exceptional Lives, The Arc of Massachusetts, Support Brokers, and the Federation for Children with Special Needs (FCSN). Free one-hour introductory consultation available.
