Dr. Yolanda Ho DDS, is a skilled periodontist serving patients at Newton Dentistry. A dedicated lifelong learner, Dr. Ho’s professional journey bridges clinical excellence, academic involvement, scientific research, and leadership. Raised in a family of educators, she embraces the idea that knowledge invites deeper inquiry—a mindset that fuels her passion for patient education and long-term oral health.

Her own experiences growing up without consistent access to dental care and navigating dental anxiety have shaped her empathetic approach. Dr. Ho is committed to creating a supportive environment where patients feel heard, informed, and empowered in their oral health journey.

Dr. Ho has held numerous leadership roles, including class president at UCSF, chief resident at Tufts University, and President-Elect of the Washington County Dental Society in Oregon. Her research has received national and international acclaim—earning 2nd place in the IADR Sarnat Craniofacial Biology Award and 1st place at Tufts’ Interdepartmental Research Day for her work on silver diamine fluoride and periodontal pathogens.

In practice, she specializes in advanced periodontal procedures such as bone and soft tissue grafting, implant placement, ridge and sinus augmentation, osseous surgery, and guided tissue regeneration. She has been recognized with the Portland Top Dentist Award and enhances diagnostics and treatment planning through clinical photography. Currently, Dr. Ho also serves as faculty at Tufts School of Dental Medicine, where she mentors future dental professionals. Her commitment to compassionate care, clinical excellence, and education continues to guide her work—always with a genuine smile and a thoughtful presence in every patient interaction.
