Paratransit Van – Wheelchair Transportation Services

Brockton Area Transit (BAT) / Dial-A-Bat
Eligibility: 65 years or older or physical or developmental disability.
Will need to acquire an ADA pass by calling (508) 588-2240 for ADA application.
ADA eligible individuals visiting from other areas may be eligible for services with DIAL-A-BAT for up to 21 days.  Please call the Customer Service Navigator at 508-638-5920 for more information.

Taxi – Wheelchair Accessible Transportation Services

All taxicab drivers are required to accept any passenger who has a disability, including their service animal. Wheelchair accessible vehicles are available upon request at no additional charge.

Boston

All Boston taxi cabs with fifteen (15) or more cabs are required to have accessible vehicles 24 hours a day. There are 78 accessible cabs in Boston.

Uber WAV: WAV provides affordable rides in wheelchair-accessible vehicles, where available.

LYFT WAV: If you need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle (WAV) that can fit your fixed-frame wheelchair, we’re happy to help. We offer access to WAV rides through a ride type called ‘Access’.  Available in Boston area.

 – Taxi Discount Program is available for Cambridge residents that are at least 60 years old or have a documented disability.

WRTA Paratransit

The WRTA provides transportation via regular WRTA fixed route bus service and paratransit service to seniors and people with disabilities who live in the 37 communities that comprise the WRTA’s service area.
All persons who wish to become WRTA ADA eligible can contact PTM Brokerage Services, Inc. (PBSI) at 508-791-WRTA (8782) option 3 to set up an appointment for the in-house application process.
PBSI is located at 60 Foster Street (Hub) Worcester, MA 01608, and free round trip transportation is provided for all individuals within the ADA service area when traveling to the PBSI office to start the in-house application process.
