Organization Narrative
Access Recreation New England is a growing hub of information about accessible recreation. As a local, collaborative group of nearly 50 participating organizations, Access Rec exists to help connect people with disabilities to recreation and cultural opportunities throughout greater Boston and beyond!

www.AccessRec.org offers a free, searchable, online calendar of accessible events as well as other local recreation resources. Staff meet with disability groups of varying sizes to build awareness of existing resources as well as identify gaps in services. We believe that only by bringing all of the stakeholders to the same table can we begin to identify and address these gaps.
Behind the scenes: We collaborate with local human service agencies, recreation venues, state departments, school systems and more to help expand and improve recreation opportunities. Access Rec supports its member organizations through outreach, technical assistance, relationship-building, professional development, and more.
