Massachusetts Office on Disability is the state’s coordinator for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). In that capacity, MOD provides technical assistance to state agencies and municipalities to ensure that policies and practices are consistent with state and federal law. It regularly assists members of the legislature on disability related issues.
- Client Services Program is an extensive information and advocacy system for people with disabilities. Civil rights advocates help people navigate through the MCAD process
- The Community Services Program provides training and technical assistance to people with disabilities, state and local government entities and private businesses. It works with local Commissions on Disability and runs the nationally acclaimed Community Access Monitor Program.
