Narrative

Speech and Language Therapy Services (SaLTS) was established in the summer of 2008 in New Bedford by Fernando and Julie Barcelos. What began as a husband-and-wife business of two grew rather quickly out of the great need for speech and language services in our local area. 

In 2012 SaLTS moved to the Watuppa Building at Dartmouth Place on State Road in Dartmouth to accommodate the growing caseload. We now have eight full-time employees and one part timer including SLPs, SLP-As and front office staff.

Most often you will find graduate students coming from various colleges and universities to train with us. We pride ourselves on working as a collaborative group who strive to give our patients the best experiences they can have.
