Narrative

Dr. Manasseh is currently the Vice Chair of Family Medicine Inpatient and Hospital Services. He joined the department of Family Medicine in 2001. He graduated from the Kilpauk Medical College of the University of Madras, India and then completed his family medicine residency training at In His Image Family Practice Program at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1997. Chris completed the Duke University National Faculty Development Workshop series from 1997-1999. He served as the Inpatient Associate Director at a 550 bed tertiary care hospital in North Carolina between 1997 and 2001, where he received the teacher of the year award from the family practice residents three out of the four years he was there. Chris has also received the ‘Teacher of the year award’ from Boston University Family Medicine Residency six times over the last 15 years.
Chris is currently certified in BLS and was previously certified in ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and ALSO. Dr. Manasseh has developed a series of lectures appropriate to the care of hospitalized patients. He designed and implemented the inpatient medicine curriculum for the family medicine residency at Boston University Medical Center – creating teaching templates, presentations for the top 20 most common inpatient diagnoses and initiating the ongoing weekly teaching conferences.
