Narrative

People are served in both small group settings as well as on a one-to-one basis.  Services include vocational training, job development, and job coaching once placed in a community job.  Along with paid opportunities, volunteer opportunities are also available as a pathway towards employment.  The program can be customized to meet each person’s needs and interests.  In addition to individualized and group activities, clinical therapies such as occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, and behavioral support are also offered.

The Acquired Brain Injury “Non-Residential” Habilitation Waiver (ABI-N) is available through MassHealth for people who have experienced an acquired brain injury and who have been living in a nursing home or chronic disease or rehabilitation hospital for at least 90 consecutive days. The ABI-N Waiver serves MassHealth members who do not need 24-hour services and support. The ABI-N Waiver does not include residential support services.
