Program Description

The New Gold Ventures Outdoor Kayaking program, done in concert with Waypoint Adventures, will give you and your group access to the Green Hill Park Reservoir, while enjoying the support of a community. This beautiful water body is surrounded by lovely rolling hills and fauna.  The park also offers access to a petting zoo (free of charge), walking areas, grassy areas, picnic tables, a playground, hiking trails, a covered arboretum, and a Vietnam Veterans memorial park and fountain.   

This program will provide equipment that can be adapted to fit the needs of any participant, and the highly trained staff will instruct, support and encourage each participant as they learn new skills or further develop existing ones. All programs are fully accessible to people with disabilities.  Each participant will have an opportunity to be on the water for one hour, in either a single or double kayak with a support staff person in the boat.  Numerous team members will be with each participant in essence supporting and surrounding them on and off the water, both in and out of the boats for the transfer process.
