Narrative

Adoption Journeys is the statewide program providing specialized post-adoption support to families living in Massachusetts who have children through adoption or permanent legal guardianship. Services to families include adoption-focused home-based counseling, support groups, social activities, advocacy, and referral. Services to professionals include consultation and training.

Older Children & Special Needs Adoption

Provides services for children who have been in the custody of the Department of Children & Families who have the goal of adoption. These children are often older, members of a sibling group or of a particular ethnic group. They may have special needs to include developmental, physical, emotional and/or medical difficulties.
