Narrative
Located on the first floor our our 12 Welby Road location in New Bedford, the SMEC ADH program serves individuals aged 22+ who have been found eligible for Medicaid-funded Adult Day Health services.
As an additional day program option for our adult consumers, SMEC ADH offers age-appropriate activities throughout the day, community trips, hot lunch, snacks, social and recreational opportunities. A nurse is on site daily to oversee medication/medical issues. A monthly schedule is developed with input from the attendees. Door to door transportation is provided. Members must attend a minimum of two 6-hour days, however flexible schedules are available.
