Narrative

The Adult Education Program provides educational services to adult learners. This important program offers English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) services, basic skills (reading, writing and math) tutoring, beginner English conversation classes and literacy development for resettled refugees. Services are offered in one-on-one and small group settings, providing students individualized lesson plans appropriate to their learning level. During the 2015-16 academic year, 121 adult learners participated.

The Kids’ Club After School Program provides a safe, supportive and encouraging environment where children can learn, grow and succeed. The program serves children in grades 2-5 who live in the North End neighborhood. The program enrolls 20 children at a time. The size of the program is intentional, in part because of our facility size and because it allows us to implement a very holistic approach in which we build meaningful relationships with the children, their families, and their schools.

Also, summer camp for kids is available.
