Narrative

Cushing’s Adult Services Residential Program, supported by DDS, includes 15 homes around the South Shore of Boston - typically with 4 to 5 residents.

These settings enable people to enhance their functional and social skills. They take responsibility for daily chores. People develop positive relationships with neighbors and friends - all with 24-hour support from experienced and caring staff.

Adult Residential Programs also encourage person-specific interests. Programs provide transportation and support for any number of outings, including:

• Day programs
• Libraries
• Health clubs
• Salons
• Grocery stores
• Music events
• Movies
• And more

Residents can decorate their rooms to their tastes. They can invite friends and family over to visit to show off their independent lifestyle.
