Narrative
24/7 Residential Support
Delta Projects provides 24-hour residential supports to adults with intellectual disabilities and other developmental disabilities. Residential models are individualized to address the needs of each individual and allow a person with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to live in a residential setting while receiving the intensive services necessary for successful long-term stability. Most of the people supported by Delta Projects live in homes with two to four housemates.
In-Home Supports
Our In-Home Supports program is for individuals living in their own homes who need less than 24/7 supports and is based on life planning strategies and coaching. Many of the individuals we support have not had opportunities in their past to participate in a learning process around independent living. Community Support Staff work with individuals to develop their plan by assessing needs, determining areas on which to focus, developing instruction strategies and generalizing the skills acquired. Community Support Staff work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the individual, working with individuals to develop competence in household management, social and recreation planning, money management, transportation, physical and behavioral health maintenance, community engagement, food and meal preparation and self-advocacy.
