Narrative

SSTAR is a mental health and substance abuse treatment outpatient service that includes counseling, psychiatry, womens center for domestic violence counseling and advocacy. Individual, group and family counseling, trauma and recovery groups, expressive therapy, and anger managment groups. Also, first & second offender driver alcohol education programs,

Languages spoken include Arabic and Portuguese. Interpreters available for Spanish. It is part of a larger continuum of care that includes an inpatient detox services for persons affected by HIV/AIDS, subxone and methadone programs, women'scenter, batterer's intervention program, substance disorder prevention program and a family health care center.
