American Council of the Blind

This national organization was established to promote the independence, security, equality of opportunity, and to improve quality of life for all blind and visually impaired people.  Services include non-medical information/referral, the ACB Braille Forum, (available in braille, large print, digital cartridge, email, online and podcast) and the ACB E-Forum (available via email, online and podcast), legislative and governmental monitoring, college scholarships (deadline: Feb. 14th), and public education.
