Narrative

Our child and teen psychiatric program (ages 4-17) features a variety of services, including:

• Coordination with state and private agencies, as well as outpatient providers.
• Discharge planning for patients and their families.
• Educational tutoring and coordination with schools.
• Medication evaluation and psychopharmacological treatment.
• Parent, family and guardian involvement in treatment planning.
• Psychiatric, nursing and psychosocial evaluation.
• Restraint avoidance planning.
• Therapeutic and occupational groups, free time and outdoor exercise.

Anna Jaques Hospital's Child & Teen Psychiatry Program provides structured and secure inpatient psychiatric services for children and adolescents ages 4 to 17. Our experienced team admits patients to our program when behavioral or emotional disorders prevent them from being safe at home, at school or in the community.
