Narrative
The camp is located on an island in the midst of Twin Lakes in Taconic, Connecticut. We welcome deaf and hard of hearing children and youths from all over the country and also children from deaf families. Camp Isola Bella is approved by the Connectict State Department of Public Health and is accredited by the American Camp Association as an option for meeting students' extended school year goals. At Camp Isola Bella we provide each student with opportunities in character development, leadership opportunites, language and communication devleopment opportunities, environmental awareness and action, social and cognitive development and increased positive identity. The camp also helps advance each students' educational goals and their experience in nature helps foster each student's intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual and physical development.
