Narrative

A multi-disciplinary approach to providing medical services under physician order. Client must need skilled care. Referrals are accepted from pediatricians. Also, provides service to high risk families and children at risk, and to pregnant and post-partum women. End of life care at home. Offers Caring For Kids Program (children with catastrophic illness), Lead Toxicity Counseling, Home Phototherapy, and SIDS counseling.

Helping families is nothing new for the Brockton Visiting Nurse Association.  Neither is focusing care on those that need it most, like new mothers and babies.  Brockton VNA staff work closely with area obstetricians and pediatricians as well as hospitals.  Maternal child health nurses and rehabilitative therapists offer services to the newborn, mother and pediatric population.  Brockton VNA’s Maternal Child Health Program provides a myriad of services for infants, toddlers, school-age children and young adults as well as maternity services.  Services include:  pediatric nursing, wound care, pediatric rehabilitation, ante partum and postpartum care, asthma and diabetic care and education, premature infant care, Wallaby treatments for newborns, SIDS counseling, developmental evaluation and more.
