Narrative

Provides vocational assessment, social & survival skill training, work oriented production activities & support services for the purpose of increasing self-sufficiency & further developing work skills, habits & tolerances for eventual movement into community employment.

Employment Supports. This community is designed for people who are focused on employment. Since the best careers are found in the community, the Employment Supports team equips individuals to create their career goals, expand their employment experience through volunteering and internships, and secure supported or competitive employment. On a daily basis we support small teams of employees who work at companies like Boston Retail, Malden Department of Public Works, Polymer and Talbots. We also offer the job coaching for individuals working independently for companies like Home Depot and organizations like Malden YMCA.

Community Choices & Community All-Stars. These learning communities are designed for people who are focused on living fun, active lives in the community. In the morning our crews might go on a tour at the Museum of Fine Art or learn about seasonal vegetables at a community farm. In the afternoon they may go to a Roman Music Therapy class or wrap up the day with yoga. This teams are always full of energy when they are on their way to learn a new skill or simply enjoy the day in the community.
