Narrative

Community-Based Day Supports (CBDS) is a day program focused on building skills for future job development, teaching participants interpersonal skills, encouraging independance, building motivation to work, and exploring the community by engaging in volunteer activities, local events, and skill-building tasks. CBDS supports individuals of all ages, from young adults just beginning to explore their work options to older participants who are nearing retirement age and want to stay engaged and involved in their community.

Participants  are trained in individual Human Rights and self-advocacy, with a strong emphasis in both programs on building self-confidence, self-esteem, and independance to promote positive experiences at work, in the community, and in their daily lives.
