Narrative

Since 1998, Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS) has supported people diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), their families, healthcare providers, and communities as they navigate the physical and emotional complexities associated with the disease. Our staff has experience and training on handling end-of-life discussions and the delicate balance of talking with people living with a terminal illness.

Since our inception, CCALS has provided resources including equipment, educational opportunities, Medicare/Medicaid assistance, guidance and awareness with regards to living with ALS, caregiving, and exploring end-of-life, when invited. CCALS offers an innovative approach to delivering support and services to our clients. CCALS is proud to provide individualized assistance to each client and their families though our programming.

Our goal for each and every one of our clients is to understand their individual experiences and struggles with ALS, and provide them with authentic, compassionate care and service. We also work with family members to help them navigate the difficult circumstance of a family member living and dying with ALS.
