Narrative
At Advocates Day Habilitation Program at the Life Skills and Learning Center, staff design a wide range of activities and therapies to meet each person's personal needs and goals. We work with them and their families.
Our experienced staff provides support for adults with cognitive, physical, or sensory disabilities. Emphasis is on:
- self-direction
- communication
- community participation
- health and wellness
- relationships
- safety
- recreation
We also coordinate nursing, occupational, physical, and speech therapies on site.
Perhaps most importantly, Day Habilitation gives people the chance to live fulfilling, joyful, and purposeful lives. They have the ability to advocate for themselves. From cooking and fitness to gardening and art, there is no lack of activities to choose from. People can build skills and invest in personal growth.
No matter a person's needs, the Advocates team at Day Habilitation is ready to work with everyone one on one to develop a personal plan for a fulfilling and active life.
