Narrative

At Advocates Day Habilitation Program at the Life Skills and Learning Center, staff design a wide range of activities and therapies to meet each individual’s personal needs and goals, in partnership with them and their families.

Our experienced staff provides support for adults with cognitive, physical, or sensory disabilities, with an emphasis on self-direction, communication, community participation, health and wellness, relationships, safety, and recreation. We also coordinate nursing, occupational, physical, and speech therapies on site.

Perhaps most importantly, Day Habilitation gives individuals the opportunity to live fulfilling, joyful, and purposeful lives, and the ability to advocate for themselves. From cooking and fitness to gardening and art, there is no lack of activities to choose from to build skills and invest in personal growth.

No matter an individual’s needs, the Advocates team at Day Habilitation is ready to work with each person one on one to develop a personal plan for a fulfilling and active life.
