Narrative

BAMSI has provided Adult Long-Term Residential Services  since 1979.  As its largest service component, the BAMSI mission and vision relates directly to the services the agency seeks to be qualified for, which is to create innovative and genuine opportunities for those with intellectual disabilities, autism, and traumatic brain injury to live full and meaningful lives.  The principles of self-determination and maintaining other significant relationships is supported at BAMSI by recognizing the importance of stability within one’s home, the value of meaningful relationships in one’s life, and the necessity of having adequate resources and support to achieve success.

BAMSI partners with individuals served, funders, family members, and other stakeholders to develop a person-center Individual Service Plan. BAMSI provides the necessary clinical, behavioral, and medical supports on a comprehensive basis throughout the BAMSI service system.  The primary means by which this is accomplished is through the careful coordination of the team with the overall goal of providing quality care, keeping people healthy, and in the community.
