Narrative
The Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC) is an independent state agency created by M.G.L. Chap 19C. DPPC is responsible for the protection of adults in state, provider care and in private settings. Performs and monitors investigations into allegations of abuse/omission committed by caretakers against persons with disabilities. Reports are filed by consumers or any mandated reporter/interested party. The DPPC runs a 24 hour abuse hotline. DPPC offers free training for persons with disabilities, service providers, police, medical professionals and others.
