Narrative

If you have concerns about your own or a loved one’s ability to drive due to age or disability, Mercy has developed a coordinated program to objectively assess a person’s ability to drive safely.

Our program evaluates:

Vision and perception
Physical status
Mobility
Reaction time
Traffic sign/situation identification and interpretation
Cognition, including problem-solving, attention and memory
Use of/need for adaptive equipment

The Driving Advisement Program begins with a clinical evaluation completed by a licensed occupational therapist. Then, we’ll discuss the results and appropriate recommendations with you and your doctor.
