Narrative

Ellis Memorial ("Ellis") is a 501(c)3 nonprofit located in the city's South End neighborhood. We provide high quality early education and care for infants, toddlers and preschool children. We have out-of-school time programs for youth in grades K through 7 at sites in the South End and Roxbury. 

Ellis predominantly serves low-income, culturally diverse families from the Boston neighborhoods of the South End, Roxbury, Dorchester and South Boston. We strengthen our city’s low-income working families by helping people of all ages make the most of their potential. For over a century, Ellis has worked to strengthen Boston's inner city working families with high quality education and care for children, youth and vulnerable adults. The goal of all our programs is to engage, educate and empower.
