East Boston Social Centers, Inc. (EBSOC) is a 501 (c) (3) multi-service agency, founded in 1918, serving culturally diverse families and individuals of all ages in East Boston and throughout Greater Boston. The Social Centers’ programs are designed to meet people’s educational, social and recreational needs and to build community and strengthen families. The Social Centers seeks to create a welcoming and supportive environment, characterized by a spirit of goodwill and caring, in which members of our community are empowered to lead productive and fulfilling lives.

The Social Centers programs reach more than 3,000 children, families and senior citizens each year. Our programs serve predominately low-income families. Four Day Care Centers operate year-round for children 2 month to 5 years.  Two after school programs serve children 5 to 14 years.  EBSOC also provides a free after school and summer program for at-risk youth 13 to 18, and programs for senior citizens
