Narrative

The Paul Center is dedicated to assisting individuals with disabilities in developing their maximum potential and independence.  We accomplish this goal by providing services to the individual as well as to the family.

The Board of Directors and staff of The Paul Center believe that through consistent quality programming we can and do provide an optimal educational and recreational experience needed by individuals with disabilities.

The Paul Center offers a 6 week Extended School Year program for individuals ages 4-22. This is a full day, 6 week program which addresses goals and objective in the IEP relative to academics, social areas, as well as speech, counseling, behavioal support and OT if indicated for summer programming. All groups are lead by certified special educators and, support staff, 1:1 assistants, instructional assistants, as needed. In addition to educational and social goals, The Paul Center operates on a 16 acre campus, with an inground pool, nature trails, frog pond and the atmosphere of a summer camp. Social and recreational activies enrich the summer experience and provide unique opportunities to address social skills, adocacy and independence.

The Paul Center also offers Saturday Respite and Transition programs, as well as school vacation weeks. These programs offer social and recreational opportunities for individuals of all ages.
