Narrative

Elder Law Project is part of the Legal Services for Cape Cod & Islands, Inc. Provide legal services to the elderly in the area in housing, government benefits & health law.

 SCCLS' Elder Law Project provides legal assistance to elder residents of Barnstable, Dukes, and Nantucket Counties.  The Senior and Elder Law Projects provide legal assistance to individuals age 60 and older who are economically or socially disadvantaged. Priority is given to legal matters identified in the Older Americans Act.  These include: "income maintenance issues, health care, long-term care, nutrition, housing, utilities, protective services, defense of guardianship, abuse, neglect, and age discrimination."
