Narrative

Individual Supported Employment-

People who would like to work in the community are connected with GAAMHA’s Employment Specialist and job coaching staff. The person and our Employment Specialist work together to determine the type of work that interests them. They  work on a resume while building on their current abilities. They conduct job search activities that meet their needs. Upon locating a job of interest, the Employment Specialist will assist the person to complete the application  and prepare for an interview.

If hired, GAAMHA’s Employment Specialist will assist with new hire paperwork and maintain communication with the person and employer to ensure a successful placement. Our Employment Specialist and/or Job Coach will then help the person learn their tasks through on-site training.
