The Irving K. Zola Center for Persons with Disabilities at Brigham House is located at 20 Hartford Street, Newton Highlands, MA . The center is named for Irving Kenneth Zola, a resident of Newton, MA, who was an internationally known sociologist and advocate who specialized in disability studies and medical sociology.
The Zola Center offers a Free Distribution Food Program every OTHER Saturday from Noon-1PM. Call for current schedule. Doors to the building open at 11:30PM. Food items vary from week to week but can included fresh fruit, vegetables, sandwiches, dry goods, canned items, pastry, bread and other bakery items. Shopping bags are NOT provided so participants must bring their own bags.
The food program is open to everyone. There is no restriction due to town, income, disabilty, and no forms to complete or acceptance procedure. We are open to all.
