Narrative

ESAC Youth Opportunity Collaborative's mission is to deliver a model of urban education that prioritizes the needs of disconnected youth. It is a pathway to building healthy and sustainable communities. The program equips young adults with the academic qualifications, social and work-related competencies, and support systems needed to achieve economic self-sufficiency. They can reach their long-term personal, educational, and career goals.

EYOC promotes the empowerment of youth through academic, legal, social, and career services, support and guidance.

We confront the mitigating circumstances and poor choices that caused students to drop out of high school. We encourage these young adults to look beyond the classroom and the high school equivalency credential. They can work towards being happy, fulfilled and productive members of society.

EYOC provides a non-judgmental learning environment where students build confidence, expect more of themselves, and can make mistakes. They can still recover within our programmatic safety net.
