Narrative
Early Intervention is a specialized program, certified by the Department of Public Health that provides services to young children (ages 0-3 years old) who have or are at risk for developmental delays. Kennedy-Donovan Center’s Early Intervention Program is comprehensive, family-centered and community based as we support each family’s efforts to enhance the development of their child.
Early Intervention Services include parent education; physical, speech/language and occupational therapies; service coordination; nutrition; socialization groups; and transition-to-school planning. These services are provided in natural settings such as home, child care centers or community play groups at KDC.
DPH Certified early intervention program. Early Intervention is an integrated developmental service available to the families of children between birth and three years of age for whom there are developmental concerns due to identified disabilities, or whose typical development is at risk due to certain birth or environmental circumstances. Offers community peer child groups.
