Narrative

Havurat Shalom is a collectively owned and run synagogue. We offer Friday night and Saturday morning Sabbath services as well as services for all the Jewish Holidays. We sometimes offer classes. We have potluck meals once or twice a month. We are committed to social justice, including the disability rights movement. We are working to make Havurat Shalom accessible to people with disabilities. Provide sign language interpreting for some classes and services on request. 1st floor including prayer room, living room and bathroom, is wheelchair accessible. 2nd floor, including the children's prayer room and library is not. Classes are usually free. Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.  There is some childcare available Saturdays. For the health of those with chemical sensitivities and asthma, we request that you not wear perfume, aftershave or cologne. Only MCS-friendly products used in the building.
