Narrative

Hillcrest Center in Lenox specializes in the treatment of boys and girls with extreme psychiatric, emotional and behavior disorders.

Most Center students have experienced physical and/or sexual abuse. They have become severely aggressive, sexually reactive, self injurious, or engage in fire setting.

Most have been in psychiatric hospitals and/or have not succeeded in other residential settings due to the severity of their needs and behaviors.

Students have mild intellectual disability (ID), learning disabilities to above average intelligence. Street address is 349 Old Stockbridge Road in Lenox.

Referrals accepted from DOE. Fees based on tuition.

Treats traumatized children who are acting out with severe physical aggression. Provides treatment to fire setters and students who act out sexually. We have a team based approach We use individual therapy and open and self-contained classrooms. Students transition to home or foster care.

Service fees paid by DCF, DYS or local school district.
