Narrative

Provides a wide range of services including residential, vocational training and other types of day services, specialized training, family support and clinical services to people with developmental disabilities (DD), people who have an intellectual disability (ID), or who are on the autism spectrum (ASD).  Anyone receiving services must go through an eligibility application process.  DDS provides eligible children and adults with community based services from birth to death. 

Most people and families have contact with DDS through their local DDS Area Office. These 23 offices are located throughout Massachusetts.
