Narrative

Criteria: Income eligible elders ( 60+ years) who are unable to complete their activities of daily living without assistance. The home care program is designed to provide a range of contracted services to elders to assist them in living independently in the community. Services include home making, personal care, laundry, and personal emergency response systems, etc. Potential elder clients are assessed in their homes by a case manager who uses a tool designed by the Executive Office of Elder Affairs to measure what tasks an elder can complete on his/her own and what tasks he-she needs assistance with. Elders must have critical unmet need as well. MassHealth Personal Care Attendant, Management Program serving disabled people of any age.

Ethos offers Options Counseling and the MassHealth Personal care Assistance program.

The home care program provides a variety of services to people 60 and over who meet state-mandated guidelines for income and physical need for services. If the need for services includes relief for a caregiver, there are not any income limits. In all cases, there is a sliding fee scale.
