Narrative
Children’s Hospital Boston’s Learning Disabilities Program offers comprehensive evals. These evals give parents, teachers and physicians a well-rounded understanding of their school age (7-15) children who face challenges in cognitive, academic and social development.
Our unique developmental and interdisciplinary approach brings together experts from different fields to provide an integrated understanding of the "whole child." The evaluation includes meetings with experts in:
- Neurology
- Neuropsychology
- Speech and Language Pathology
- Written (Reading and Writing) Language
- Mathematics
- Psychology
If your child is not fluent in English, has been diagnosed with an intellectual disability (ID), or has significant sensory or motor impairments, he or she is not likely a good fit for our evaluation.
