Provides support services to anyone involved in the area of long term care. Services include: educational outreach, information & referral svcs, advocacy & assistance regarding patient's rights, complaint resolution, community visitation & access for all residents in nursing & rest homes regardless of age. The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program monitors nursing and rest homes, enabling residents to voice their concerns and have their complaints addressed. The Ombudsman program receives, investigates, and resolves problems so that residents can live their lives with dignity and respect.
