Narrative

The Life Skills Day Habilitation programs offered at Cape Abilities Lyndon Center in Hyannis enhances the quality of life of the people we support. We use a variety of therapeutic approaches. Cape Codders with disabilities take part in activities designed to maintain and improve skills for daily living, communication, personal safety and wellness.

Person must have a developmental/intellectual disability (DD) (including Prader-Willi Syndrome and Autism) and are eligible for services through the Department of Developmental Services (DDS).

People are evaluated and assessed across several developmental need areas. These include self-help, sensorimotor, communication, social, independent living, affective and behavioral development. Individualized plans and goals are developed for all members.
